Stories on the Bus
Friday, May 5th at 10:30 a.m. A favourite Reading Town PEI event is back! Board the T3 Trius Transit #1 University Ave. Express bus at 10:30 a.m. from Confed Centre/Grafton St. for stories and songs! Stories continue on the return trip from the Charlottetown Mall. Remember - Children under 5 travel free when accompanied by an adult.
Book Launch with Rudy Croken
Saturday, May 6th at 2:00 p.m. Join author Rudy Croken for the launch his new book, Ban the Automobile: Instrument of Death. Told through the voices and letters of Island politicians and everyday Islanders, the book traces the story of the automobile from its arrival on the Island until it was fully recognized and granted the "Freedom of the Roads".
Open Mic Night
Thursdayday, May 11th at 7:00 p.m. Want to try reading your poetry or prose in a public venue? Join our Open Mic to share your love, meeet other writers, and learn about the local writing community. Not interested in speaking? Feel free to come and listen. Please sign up by e-mail or by calling 902-368-4642. Speakers should plan to limit their mic time to five minutes.
