Confederation Centre Public Library
The PEI Status of Women will be hosting a "lunch and learn" series to consider women's history in the decades between 1967 and 2017. The study group will launch on Thursday, February 16th at noon and will focus on the years 1967-1977. Subsequent lunches will take place bi-weekly through April 27th.
Saturday, February 18th at 2:00 p.m. A musical presentation by Scott Parsons, Nancy Clement, Jonny King, Jason Furness, and a special guest.
Tuesday, February 21st at 7:00 p.m. Join Bryson Guptill for the launch of his guide to walking the Camino Francés (the French Way), the most popular of the pilgrimage routes to Santiago de Compostela.
Thursday, February 23rd at 7:00 p.m. Learn about dragonflies and damselflies and how they are good indicators of water quality. Parks Canada staff will explain how their populations have been monitored at the PEI National Park for several years and what this means to us.
Saturday, February 25th at 2:00 p.m. Swap and share seeds and get a head start on the spring planting season. Some small envelopes will be available for seeds, but participants are encouraged to bring their own containers.

Parents and caregivers are reminded that children should not be left unattended in the Library. Registration is necessary for the following programmes; please call 902-368-4644.
Children aged 5-11 are invited to sign up for a 6 week reading program: Reading Buddies! Children will be matched with teen volunteers for a fun hour of reading and sharing stories together every Saturday at 2:00 pm. Program runs from February 4th - March 11th.
Tuesday, February 14th at 1:30 pm and Wednesday, February 15 at 11:00 am. In recognition of Family Violence Prevention Week, the theme of Family Storytime will be "Peace, Kindness and Love", and children's book donations from the Premier's Action Committee on Family Violence Prevention will be read aloud. Family Violence Prevention Resources will be on display. All welcome!
Tuesday, February 21st at 1:30 pm and Wednesday, February 22nd at 11:00 am. In partnership with the Black Cultural Society of Prince Edward Island, families are invited to join us in the Children's Library to learn about Black History Month and hear the story The Patchwork Path. After the story we'll make our own freedom patches! All welcome.
