  The Canadian Periodicals Index (CPI.Q.) lets anyone search a comprehensive list of Canadian and international journals, magazines, newspapers, and other references. CPI.Q. includes more than 400 titles, many with full-text articles. Selected sections of The Globe and Mail are also available. ChiltonLibrary.com is the most authoritative automotive repair information available to car owners. There are thousands of year, make and model combinations covering the most popular vehicles of the past 30 years, plus additional coverage of specialty models. General Reference Center Gold lets anyone find general-interst articles on current events, popular culture, business and industry trends, the arts and sciences, sports, hobbies, and more.

  Health Reference Center - Academic brings together the full text and images of respected nursing, allied health and medical journals; consumer health magazines; newsletters; pamphlets; newspaper articles; topical overviews; and reference books. Health & Wellness Resource Center provides instant access to carefully compiled and trusted medical reference materials from nearly 400 health/medical journals, hundreds of pamphlets and more than 2,200 general interest and reference publications. Material contained in this resource is intended for informational purposes only. With hundreds of reference works, magazine and journal articles, biographies, original essays, and multimedia files chosen to complement provincial curriculum standards, Canada in Context helps students complete assignments and build on in-class lessons.

Rocket Languages Rocket Languages is a Web-based language learning service that is ideal for beginners and travellers. Your library card gives you access to 14 self-paced foreign language courses, including Egyptian Arabic, Mandarin Chinese, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, American Sign Language, advanced English (for EAL learners), English for Japanese speakers, and English for Spanish speakers. Mobile apps are available for iOS and Android.


Active Reading Active Reading is a topic-based reading program at six levels from elementary to advanced. Although the program focuses on reading, it also contains a comprehensive range of exercises that focus on other important skills such as, listening, writing and pronunciation.


Tense Buster Tense Buster is a popular program designed for EAL learners at five levels, from beginner to advanced. The program helps students learn some of the most common aspects of English grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and develop excellent learning, reading and listening strategies.
